alone on the road

So today i 'upped' my mileage. not by much but it seemed i could ride and think about pretty much everything else.

thinking about the past week events i think i've comed to the realization that there are plenty of strong women in the world but few can 'handle' them. why else would there be few women in power positions? or is it because women don't desire power positions?

i'm sure by now, any of you reading this think i'm a raging feminist but in fact, i have never associated myself as one. i think the best person should get the job - always have, always will - but i don't believe that you should have to deal with an environment which intimidates and suffocates.

i am so thankful i've been surrounded mostly by supportive people - female and male and certainly hope that i learn not to let the spoiled apples get to me too much.
