Christmas Day dinner

orphan christmas dinner was a great success. edwin and hillary (representing new zealand) hosted while edwin and karel (karel and his wife anna are from south africa) did the drunken chicken. while stuffing an open beer can in the chicken to keep it moist didn't quite work over the barbie, the chicken did turn out superbly after being roasted in the oven. dinner started at 9.30 pm and we had appetizers twice to stave off the hunger. my spring rolls were well received as were my cheesecake cupcakes and crepes. hopefully we'll be able to do another orphan christmas next year even though it is unlikely that karel and edwin will be around.
