Vancouver

oh, if i was a good poet, i'd make an ode to vancouver.
but since i'm not, i'll spare you my bad poetry.

if i had a choice of places i could settle, it would be vancouver. it's got good science, an AWESOME view of mountains and the ocean, AND you can cycle year round. what more could you want?

i spent my time in vancouver with wei (my oldest sister) going from eatery to eatery and literally walking all over the place, including a fast-pace workout around stanley park because we couldn't get back up to the road!!! (oops) we also had an inadvertant detour into east hastings because i wasn't watching close enough to where we were heading on the main bus. well, at least if either wei or i end up there, we know where not to go! wei finally got to taste the gold label wolfblass (you cannot buy this label in north america) i bought for her and when she gets over to australia, i'm sure we will be touring the winerys (WEI, you need to learn how to drive again!!! I am not doing all the driving). oh, and i guess we'll be eating timtams as well (or rather, wei will be, they aren't my most favourite of biscuits here)

how can you say no, to a scenery like this?
