Sunshine Coast
<- the skinny on mark Well, it was probably high time that mark and i got out in australia to do some travelling. What better time than to head to the sunshine coast during 'winter' in melbourne. Rain followed us to brisbane and the sunshine coast on the first day but it cleared up. I've learned that i don't do lounging on the beach very well at all. or maybe i just don't do well sitting in one spot for very long - i thought it might be mark's problem, but i guess it's really mine. or maybe i just need a book to read. i did do a lot of relaxing. got to vege watching the tele and not feel guilty. didn't touch my computer that i brought along and i most definitely stopped fretting over writing a rebuttal for the only australian fellowship i could apply for (note: i'm probably borderline on getting this fellowship because i need to publish in higher journals). we did a bit of hiking and i realized that being taller does help and that i've become increasingly inflexible with all the training that i've done. but the sites were pretty cool so here are a couple of pics of the places we hiked.

Mark looks good from behind...
The pic of the Glass Mountains is astonishing, as is the one taken at the top of Mt. Coolum. I always was a sucker for landscape shots.
