on the bright side

alright, so in the hopes of trying to avoid too negative a readout for the lab, i decided i would list the positives to make myself feel better.

1) it forces me to think about my project and where it's going instead of mindlessly repeating expt after expt
2) i have to talk about science on a routine basis and about my work on a day to day basis (something i didn't have during my phd)
3) steve always publishes in high impact journals so he obviously knows how to ask the right questions or answer them in a unique scientific manner
4) i learn how to answer questions using in vivo models

on the non-science plus side:
1) i will always feel like i'm in shape
2) i can catch up on old tv show episodes that i missed in canada (yeah, house!)
3) there are some really good people here that genuinely want to see me do good
4) there's good wine to be had
5) i have mark here.
